Pharmacy Art Picture #2

Your prescription is the most important thing we'll do all day. That's why we dump your pills into this thing by the thousands so they can be shot into your bottle with as little effort as possible.

Not all of them end up in your bottle of course. We end up cleaning maybe a hundred or so out of the bottom of the machine every week.

Look at the picture and see the corporate vision of progress.

Is that a Yuyama, or do you have some other rapid fire pill robot where you work?

This is a Parada. It's actually a rare photograph, as it catches the machine during an extremely hard to capture moment of non-mechanical breakdown.

I see... question, are you scanned as a "just in case" you don't run a pill lifting operation or what?

I work with a Parata. It's a lovely piece of shit. I try to punch it every day--until I realize that not even a pharmacists salary could pay for one easily.

At my pharmacy we use Baker. Or used, as it were, as the contract has expired and I now have 30 cells taking up space with 5 that actually work regularly. Pieces of crap.
