I'll Call Your Reverend Wright, And Raise You Another Crazy-Ass Preacher Getting Himself Involved In Presidential Politics.

Dear Republican Friends,

You don't want to fight this battle.

Especially once we contrast Obama's reaction to his preacher going off the deep end to what we have here:

If it comes down to which side has the craziest preachers, I am confident of victory.

This is an excellent point that I don't recall seeing anywhere else. And I read a lotta lefty blogs. Well, OK, I don't read any of the famous ones anymore. Long story. Never mind.

Anyhow, yeah, the righties have had the market cornered on nut-job preachers for pretty much all time.

And I don't Twitter, so I need you to let me know if anyone knows why Republicans are never gluten intolerant. DNA inoculated by generations of eating white bread is my guess. But I'm not a scientist.

The craziest thing about all this "candidate's preacher" business is the fact that every candidate MUST profess to have religion and to attend church, whether he does or not. As far as I'm concerned, most of what any preacher says is nonsense, whether or not it's hate-filled and despicable, like this fuckwad's.

I would be DELIGHTED to be able to vote for a candidate who had the guts to eschew religion and admit it.

This guy scares the hell out of me, why is this not a big deal? Why is there a double standard for Obama? I agree with madam z and take it one step farther, the best thing that could happen to this country would be to elect an atheist president!

True, this guy is scary. The difference is that he is not McCain's pastor, friend, mentor, spiritial advisor, etc. He's just another nutjob preacher who likes to dabble in politics. The constitution prohibits government from fucking with religion. It doesn's prohibit religion from fucking with politics.

The whole point of the vid was to show that McCain continues to be "very honored" to have recieved the endorsement of this particular nut job, while Obama had repudiated his. A point that zoomed right past your head there was1.

Better luck next time.
