Yeah, So, Like I Said, There's No Way Sarah Palin Could Have Faked Her Pregnancy.

Turns out the face of the American Taliban still has a daughter that is a shining example of what to expect when you think not giving kids condoms means that they'll never have sex, just not quite in the way the story looked to be gelling last night:

ST. PAUL, Minn. - John McCain's running mate Sarah Palin, said Monday her 17-year-old unmarried daughter is five months pregnant, an announcement stealing even more thunder from McCain and a Republican presidential convention already overshadowed by Hurricane Gustav.

Adding to the day's drama, McCain aides said the announcement was aimed at rebutting Internet rumors that Palin's youngest son, born in April, was actually her daughter's.

Good thing baby daddy was just packing some sperm, and not some herpes, or you know, the HIV.

At any rate, lesson learned. Drugmonkey keeps his mouth shut from now on until the whole story is in. If only others could learn about Trojans so easily....

That Daily Kos diary was an interesting read and those photos sure had me wondering if the story was true, or partially true.

But in the end, I dismissed it. For Gov. Palin to fake a pregnancy and childbirth in order to cover up her daughter's pregnancy would have involved the cooperation and complicity of a lot of professionally licensed medical personnel. I can't imagine a physician putting his or her license at risk to undertake this type of deception, which at the very least would involve the falsification of medical records and a birth certificate, not to mention the possibility of a fraudulent health insurance claim... and for what? To cover up a teenager having a baby out of wedlock? Simply not plausible.

However, the whole story about Mrs. Palin flying from Texas to Alaska with ruptured membranes and while experiencing contractions in order to deliver her baby in Alaska is simply bizarre and causes me to question her judgment.

Oh God, DrugMonkey, I just watched Larry King for 5 minutes -- why do I do this to myself?? It was just long enough to see Michele Bachmann (R-Complete Loon-MN) declare that Sarah Palin has more executive experience than Obama AND Biden. I am in such a bad mood now. I'm going to start a Versed drip on myself till November.

She could have held every single role in the US Government and I would still not vote for her. Experience means nothing if you deny reality.

Anyway, I for one am curious about how this election will go. Palin's gender will appeal to feminists who wouldn't vote for her because of her politics, and her politics will appeal to right-wing religious fanatics who believe women should be kept barefoot and pregnant, who won't vote for her because of her gender. So much for that.

Great blog!

Where is proof that her daughter is 5 months pregnant and not 3 months pregnant? I wonder if the baby will really be born in December...

And no doctor has lied or risked anything..because none of them will comment.
